Sec 2s kindly go read up the Outdoor Precaution Notes, there will be Outdoor Precaution Test as soon as the scout meeting resume. Kindly relay this msg to your fellow brothers.

Next will be the Wed meeting program for individual patrol, PLs kindly send me the wed program for 15th July 09 by 3rd July 09.

2nd Donation Draw Return & Collection will be on 1st July 09 3pm at School, there will be another return and collection on 3rd July 09 2pm (COMPULSORY). Kindly relay this msg to your fellow bros.

PLC will be on 4th July 09, 9am. Late comer have to treat everyone a MC FLURRY, No more leniency will be given, TRY me if you don't believe.

Scout Standard and Awards Ceremony will be on 8th July 09

Lastly Scout meeting will resume on 8th July 09.

Suspension of CCA

Dear Brothers,

I'm sad to announce that with reference to MOE newly laid down directive that,

All CCA will be suspended for 2 weeks. CCA will resume on 6th July 2009 unless if there are any changes.

So stay tune and check this blog regularly!

However, there will be some activities unchanged. Please kindly take note:

1. NDP Trainings are as per normal. (For Martin and Wes-ly)
2. CCA Hike on 26 - 27 June will be as per normal. (For Martin and his companions)
3. Footdrill Course/Instructor Course on 27 June 2009. (Course will be held as per normal unless any unforseen circumstances. Will update you guys soon. Meantime, let's take it that you are still required to attend)

1. Hougang Rangers Gangshow on 27 June 2009. (Postponed)
2. Weekly meetings when school reopen. (Suspension till 5 July 2009)
3. Standard Ceremony on 1st July 2009. (Postponed to 8 July 2009. Meanwhile, PLC please prepare for the ceremony. Contact Jared for more information)
4. All percussion trainings (Scouts) till 5 July 2009 are Suspended.

H1N1

Dear Brothers,

With regards to the recent outbreak of the pandemic H1N1, please kindly take note of the following points and exercise social responsibility:

1. If you or your immediate family members have travelled to the following country: (Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Dominican Republic, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Philippines, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States of America, Indonesia and Hong Kong SAR), you should call 993 for medical assistance if they feel unwell within seven days of arrival.

2. Also, if you have any of these symptoms, consult a doctor immediately.

• High fever (> 38 deg C)
• Sore throat
• Cough
• Body aches
• Runny nose
• Headaches
• Tiredness

1. MOE has just annouced that schools will resume lessons as according to the schedule on 29 June 2009 (Monday). Refer to this website for more information: http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/press/2009/06/precautionary-measures-h1n1.php

2. Please do take note that Scout unit meetings/events/activities as planned by the PLC or Leaders will be carried out accordingly. All activities will be suspended only when orders are given by:

a. MOE
b. School
c. The Singapore Scout Association

3. In order to play our part as a responsible citizen, all Scouts are to bring their themometer with them whenever they attend any activity/event/meetings. PLs will conduct a temperature check on their patrol members before commencing the activity. Scouts who have the temperature of 37.5 degree or more, will be sent home immediately.

4. We will be mornitoring all attendance strictly during this period. Should there be any absentees, it will deem as unwell and absentees will be reported to the school for any preventive actions to be taken.

5. Last but not least, drink plently of water. Keep yourself healthy!

Marching boots for FDC !

Dear fellow scout mates ,

Marcus Tan ( APL ) will be going down to BEACH RD to buy marching boots TOMORROW .
BEACH RD is near LAVENDER MRT station , 5 minutes walk from LAVENDER mrt station .

Date : 13 June 2009 , Saturday
Time : 12 noon
Attire : CAUSUAL WEAR ( normal go-out clothing )
Meeting-point : TAMPINES MRT station

We will be going to lavender MRT station by MRT so please bring along your EZ-LINK card.

This mini outing is NOT COMPULSARY , but the marching boots is compulsary for the footdrill course , so the decision is still yours .

PS : Any marching boots from any shoe shops will do, need not be from beach road . The outing on saturday is to facilitate those who don't know where to buy the marching boots . Furthermore, it's not compulsary.

Anything please contact marcus , ask your PL for his number .

Patrol Hike / Quartermaster Course

1) Patrol Hike on 8 June 2009

Meeting point: 2nd T-Junction from the bridge nearest to Bedok reservior , bus- stop .
*You can take bus 28 from East spring sec to bedok reservior, just ask the bus driver to tell you when to stop*

Timing : 9.00am . Best is to be there by 8.45 am .

End time: 7.00 pm at East Coast Park . Transport will not be provided. Scout will have to make their way back on themselves .

Attire :
PE shirt , PE shorts , comforatble footwear * no need to be scout shoes, but NO slippers/ sandals*, BLUE SCARF with woggle.

What to bring :
Backpack *Please do not bring slingbag* , Writing materials, Poncho/Umbrella, Thermometer, Personal Medication, Handphone, $10 *For food ration* , 1.5 litre Water bottle .

We will not be responsible for the lost of cash or handphone . Be responsible for your belongings .
*Bring photocopy result slip too ! *

*PLs , please contact your patrol and pass this vital information to your members *



2) Quartemaster course
This QM course is only for the selected QM nominated by the PLs .

Venue: East spring Sec
Date: 12 June 2009, Friday
Timing: 9am - 2pm (May be extented due to unforseen circumstances)
Things to bring : Writing materials.
Attire : Oneida polo / PE T-shirt , PE short , White school shoes .

After attending this course and performing your duties well enough , you will be awarded the QM badge . *Only if you work hard for it!*

The QMs that were nominated my the PLs , please do not absent youself on this date as you will not be able to work your badge and others will be given a chance to get the QM badge .

Leaders / Ventures / PLs are invited to sit in this course :)

Asian Water Symposium

The above mentioned course is held on 18 June 2009, at Dunman High sec.

Timing is 8.30am - 5.30pm

Fee: $10

The above course is about water conservation and you may recieve a badge after it !

CEPP

Hello bros,

For the CEPP on 6th June, those who stay near the area can meet outside the SCDF. By 8.45am everyone must reach there, PLs will do a head count to ensure all members are there. Kindly inform your PL if any of you wish to meet at the SCDF. For those who don't know how to go there, meet your PLs at bus stop opposite the 201 mac. All patrol members have to inform your PL to confirm where you want to meet, SCDF or Bus Stop.

Be responsible in your own action =D
